The Project

In 2009 France Odeon was born in Florence, the event that brings together the legacy of the unforgettable France Cinéma, the exhibition dedicated to French cinema directed by Aldo Tassone and Françoise Pieri since 1986.

Making a book that is in itself a meta-narration of the cinema must go through a design that is both direct and imaginative. It needed a publication that would take up the style of the contents – that is, everything that has not been seen during the 10 years of the Festival – and knew how to re-interpret the meaning … without the movement.

The desaturated images (or in black and white) and the palette reduced to three colors make up a simple scheme where the captions climb out of the guides and the texts explode full-page, cheeky.
