Jingle in Symbols

When Piero Farulli founded the Scuola di Musica in Fiesole, he had music in mind. When Kidstudio was asked to reshape the visuals of the School, we had music in mind too.

The Project

The Scuola di Musica di Fiesole is the dream of a great musician, so in love with the depth of the ocean of music that he feels the urgency to share this extraordinary cultural heritage with all his fellow citizens. The School has developed differentiated teaching methods to meet the needs of its multi-faceted users and has always valued the ensemble music.

The point of the rebranding revolves all around one single premise: the “face” by Piero’s brother, renowned artist Fernando, had to stay, whatever the graphics, because it expressed the history and feel of the School in so many ways that it would have been suicide to forfait it. ur point was to express music and to create a bold, standing brand to allow the School a better recognition and a more functional communication.

The game was to imagine the logo … in music. The three words that make up the name of the School can be interpreted as the acronym of three notes (Sol, Mi and Fa — G, E and F). The position and the movement repeat a musical score, with the twist to move it all a tone upwards. Because if music is life, a music school is something more.
